Winter storms create extra work including lambs lost by their mothers -usually a triplet or twin.

At the height of the rain Nicholas has to feed these two newly born inside by the fire.. and the cat looks on.

They stay overnight confined then out to the barn...

Mokopuna (grandchild) Daniel lives on a second house on the farm. Feeding the lambs is no difficulty. He and his siter have named them "Freckles" and "Mo" -- from markings -- both little girls so should be with us for the next 10 plus years.
