Kia Ora Benny,
Thank you for
writing to me again.
The
organic part of the Course is almost the same for both those learning
applied "Organic Farming" and "Conversation English" Course.
"Backpackers"
is really for people who speak English as a first Language or who come for
their second visit .. They do not live in the house. They are fit. (We
usually only take a maximum of three -- singles or couples -- per year.)
Students come
here for a "Conversation English" course (NZ$
TARRIF for 10 days, 100 hours
of tuition; all meals and stay in guest bedroom) We have only one from
any country at a time so they have to speak
only English. They quickly think
in English - which makes learning so much quicker... and they learn a
different way to add English words to their vocabulary. It really works.
The Organic
Course is also a full guest experience -- includes all meals and living in
the guest bedroom(s). This is like a guest coming to stay but with an
experience course "added on". The charges are the same as they both
involve my total attention for 10 days. If there are two or three people
they can share Tutor time and the "added" charges -- but they must all
speak English as their first language, so we are not also ensuring they
understand the English words.
Usually
then, the Organic Course is for people who speak English first language --
they get a more intensive explanation of applied Organic methods. The
"Conversation Language" students get in depth experience on how to use
English in conversation, (and a different way to learn new English
words.)
Backpackers
are also guests, so they are 'working' as an experience they can discuss
with us for their added knowledge - but they may do many jobs on their
own. Because they pay all costs directly related to their being here,
they are not 'workers' and thus do not receive "money or reward" for their
input.
Thank you
for asking -- I have given you an answer. I will now transfer to the
web pages.
EVERYONE - Do feel
free to ask more questions. Arohanui -- Peter
