A Parent's recommendation
if you are
travelling with children

Hi Peter.
It was great to hear from you and that all is well.  We still think fondly of our stay with you. Andy and the kids and I hope to get back to New Zealand at some point. My dad was just there last week fishing near Rotorua.

On the question of children, I have to say you were the most kid friendly place we stayed.

However, one other place springs to mind in Kiakoura, a b & b and sheep farm called The Point. I can't recall the proprietors names right now but they live out on the point (hence the name) at the far edge of town. They run a sheep farm and give live sheep shearing exhibitions and have lambs for the kids to feed and are very very nice. I would highly recommend them to anyone with kids. It's a little cramped but when travelling with kids, you learn to deal with that.
I did an extensive travelogue on our trip but don't have it with me right now. Anyway, I think you have a great idea and wanted to contribute this.  Otherwise, we just drove around and stayed in roadside motels which were great.
Hope you are well, as I said and hope to hear to from you again soon.

Sincerely,

Lori, Andy, Madeleine, Joshua H.
