They became Friends in Auckland, Jin from Korea and Michiko from Japan.

Jin  and Michiko brought their children to "Our Farm-Park" where they saw the 'usual' farm animals but also discovered some of the tiny creatures that play an important part of everyone's' lives.

"Log City" is an interesting place to visit

Just a lump of a treetrunk - but what a heap of Life there is in it. As the tree rots, it becomes a food source and a home to heaps and heaps of insects.  They break down the log and out its goodness goes, back into the soil. Then, as the insects leave, they too become food for the birds...

...and when those birds are chickens, they in turn provide food for us....

..and the huhu bug is human food too... if you can bring yourself to eating it..

..so, round and round our food chain goes...

Worms in our WORM FARM eat what we don't from each meal and turn it into wonderful juice we catch and put onto the garden -- where it helps grow more vegetables for us to eat...

Then the children tried to spin some wool too...

Later, Reina  and Suzi played the piano for our enjoyment, and..

... 5-year-old Subin drew Peter holding her hand.
